Class 2 Driver

Here at GXO, we’re expanding and looking for dedicated Class 2 drivers to join our energetic team at Rochdale (OL16 4NZ) working with our Click and Collect transport team. 

This is a full-time, permanent role. You will be contracted to work 47.5 hours per week, working 9.5 hours per day on a shift pattern of any 5 days out of 7. This role involves early start times. Further details regarding your shift pattern and working schedule will be provided during the assessment process.

What you will do on a typical day: 

• Deliver and collect goods to and from various high street retailers across multiple locations
• Loading and unloading using tail-lift and roll cages – (sometimes pallets) 
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner 
• Complete all necessary paperwork correctly, in full and on time 
• Be compliant with Driver’s hours, Tachograph, Working Time, and Road Traffic Act regulations 

What you need to succeed at GXO: 

• Hold a valid Class 2 licence
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence (no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
• An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
• Commitment to safety and compliance with driving regulations
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work on your initiative
