Location: Leek
Hours: Evening shifts (4:00pm–10:00pm)
Availability: Alternate weekends required
Pay: £14.00 per hour

At Home Instead Leek & Moorlands we offer support to individuals living in their own home. We are hiring for caring individuals in Leek to visit local clients during evenings (4pm - 10pm) and weekends. We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and caring to make a difference to our clients' lives. No experience required - just a friendly personality and the right values.

At Home Instead we have minimum 1-hour calls plus suitable travel time to ensure you are not rushed with clients, with mileage reimbursement. We work to match our Care Professionals and clients together so memorable connections can be established. All initial calls with a client who is new to you will be introductions with the support of another colleague, so you can really get to know your client and their needs.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Care Assistant:

  • Perform household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry and tidying.
  • Make, or assist to make your client's favourite meals.
  • Offer companionship and social support, engaging with your client's hobbies and getting to know them.
  • Support with personal care tasks such as showering, brushing teeth, and getting ready for bed.
  • Ensure transparent communication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care and comfort.
  • Write accurate daily notes, keeping up strong communication with the office.
  • Administer medication and record appropriately.

Requirements:

  • Experience is not required; we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
  • You must have a full driver's licence and dependable transportation for various duties.
  • You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
  • Must have a caring, friendly personality.
