Home Instead Tyne Valley are rapidly growing with full time and part time hours available. We are looking for a caring person to support clients in and around the Hexham, Corbridge, Prudhoe and Tyne Valley area.

Join our compassionate team as a Care Assistant in Hexham, United Kingdom! We're seeking dedicated individuals to provide essential support and companionship to our clients in their homes. As a Care Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those in need.

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare nutritious meals and help with feeding when necessary
  • Provide medication reminders and monitor clients' well-being
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
  • Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans
  • Document client progress and report any changes in condition
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide basic first aid when needed
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to health and safety regulations

 

  • Genuine passion for helping others with a friendly, empathetic demeanour
  • Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Basic first aid knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and daily activities
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong time management and organisational skills

 

We offer a competitive rate of pay of £14 per hour.

Flexibility in work patterns.

As well as day time, we work evenings and weekends.

Due to the areas of working, a driving licence and car is required.

  • You must have your own vehicle with Business Class 1 insurance.
  • As we carefully match Care Professionals with clients, it can take time to build your hours. We cannot guarantee full-time hours immediately, and it may take several weeks to reach your preferred number of hours.
