Job description

  • Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities for Home Instead clients
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort
  • Assist with meal preparation when required in your role as a Care Assistant
  • Help clients with medication 
  • Engage in social activities and provide companionship to clients
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
  • Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or mental health
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided
  • Participate in regular training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in care
  • Own vehicle and valid UK driving licence
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS check
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a caring nature
  • Reliability, patience, and empathy

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Drivers preferred – many clients require transport to appointments
  • Must be able to work in and around Norwich
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Must hold an Enhanced DBS and be registered on the DBS Update Service
  • Please note: We do not hold a sponsorship licence
  • Previous care experience needed – compassion and reliability are key
