Hexcel is currently seeking an Aero Excellence Deployment Leader for our Duxford, UK location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

  • Lead deployment of the Aero Excellence framework at site level to achieve bronze certification.
  • Conduct maturity assessments, identify gaps, and define improvement roadmaps.
  • Drive execution and monitoring of Aero Excellence action plans.
  • Track and report progress, KPIs, and maturity status.
  • Ensure alignment and benchmarking with other sites to share best practice.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to embed operational excellence.
  • Promote structured methodologies (Lean, 8D, FMEA, APQP) across the site.
  • Support resolution of quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Improve customer performance and reduce internal non-conformities.
  • Act as a change agent to drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of continuous improvement and operational excellence frameworks.
  • Proficiency in structured problem-solving tools (8D, FMEA, APQP, root cause analysis).
  • Experience in quality and/or continuous improvement within manufacturing or aerospace.
  • Understanding of maturity models, audits, and certification processes.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Effective communication skills across shop floor and leadership levels.
  • Results-driven with strong execution and accountability.
  • Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards (e.g. EN/AS9100) and multi-site environments.
