Develops, implements and administers cost-effective benefits programs such as pension plans and life, health, and disability insurance | May also administer the organization's Employee Assistance Program. | May also be required to be a subject matter expertise in the area of Disability Management and Attendance Support to ensure timely and effective case management.
- Assist our Plan Members with day-to-day medical and dental claims and health benefit-related questions
- Audit retirement plan eligibility and participant data such as employee and employer contributions; resolve discrepancies within system and with record-keeper
- Benefit plan administration
- Special projects as needed such as file feed enhancements, managing/auditing data, testing
- Performs other duties as they might be assigned
- Work with broader HR team, auditors, finance team, legal, and actuaries on various retirement items
- Process life insurance claims
Job Requirements
- Post secondary in Business, Human Resources or related field
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with employee benefits
- Advanced MS Office skills (e.g., proficiency in Excel to include using pivot tables, v-look ups and the mail merge feature in Word)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detailed and customer-service oriented
