Job description

Playhybrid helps brands break through the media clutter and create authentic and lasting emotional connections with customers through Extended Reality (XR) experiences that drive engagement. Our creative service and technology provides brands with a cinematic, Extended Reality (XR) experience cohesively distributed across multiple platforms and devices.

We are looking for a UE technical artist to help create visually stunning real-time content. The UE Tech artist will work closely with performance capture team to create high quality animated characters, fully developed environments and optimized real-time rendering setup. You will have the opportunity to create experiences that will reach millions of users on our family of brands (Huffpost, TechCrunch, AOL, Yahoo, etc) and to create project partnerships with brands such as Google, Apple, Samsung, Unity, etc. 

Responsibilities

●      Develop Unreal scenes using in-house and third party digital assets

●      Create blueprints and install plugins to combine various real-time technologies within UE

●      Import character animation assets from standard packages such as Maya and Motionbuilder

●      Leverage performance capture technologies such as Motion Capture, Facial Capture and camera compositing

●      Optimize UE scenes for latest and greatest GPU, CPU and cloud rendering technologies

Minimum Qualifications

●      Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or equivalent experience

●      2+ years experience in Unreal Engine or Unity building games or VR experiences

●      Expertise in UE engine featuresets such as decision tree, collisions, apex, baked lighting, surfacing, animation, sequencer

●      Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and choices to our team as well as internal and external clients.

●      An aptitude for collaboration with an array of artistic and technical talents

●      Independent contributor mindset with minimal need for directions

Preferred Qualifications

●      Experience with raytracing rendering technology

●      Familiarity with coding in C++, Python

●      Bachelor’s degree in computer related field or equivalent experience
