We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, positive, hard-working individual to join our team in Edmonton. As a Cameron Surface Wellhead Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and managing surface wellhead systems that are critical to the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas wells. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, and field service personnel, to ensure the integrity and performance of Cameron wellhead equipment. Your role will involve both office-based engineering design and field-based installation operation and troubleshooting, providing a dynamic and varied work environment. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide regional engineering support as instructed by Engineering Manager.
  • Perform engineering design and development work to meet customers’ and/or the industry’s requirement.
  • Create technical engineering drawings and bill of materials.
  • Checking and approving equipment drawings, information and documentation which meets Customer Specification and company engineering standards to enable the manufacture and production.
  • Perform engineering design calculations and design analysis.
  • Execute or participate in equipment validation test (for example, Stackup Test, Performance rating test, etc.)
  • Conduct Value Engineering exercise and product cost saving during engineering design task.
  • Review and dispose Non-Conformance (NCR) during new equipment production and Aftermarket (RGR) Repair and Return equipment.
  • Facilitate and/or conduct Root Cause Analysis session for field issues and operation challenges, then conduct lesson learnt and training for future improvement.
  • Provide engineering support to field operation team during equipment installation and when field issues (FPR) arise.

 

 

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively under pressure
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.
