We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated, Shredder Cleaner to join our team for the afternoon shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm. As a Shredder Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our shredding equipment. Your role will involve removing debris and ensuring optimal performance. 

What you're responsible for:

  • Clean and maintain shredding equipment, including conveyor systems, screens, magnets, and other components, to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination
  • Remove unwanted materials, such as non-metallic objects, dirt, and other contaminants, from the shredder and its surrounding areas to prevent damage and maintain efficiency
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment
  • Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and other safety practices
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shredder area, ensuring the removal of debris, proper waste disposal, and general housekeeping tasks

To join our team:

  • Previous experience in an industrial cleaning or maintenance role is preferred
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and manual dexterity
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot and remove contaminants from the shredder equipment effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills to interact with supervisors, operators, and other team members
