At Western Truck Body, we're looking for a dependable, organized, and safety-focused Shipper/Receiver to help keep our operations running smoothly. In this role, you'll be responsible for receiving and shipping materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, preparing orders, and supporting the overall flow of our manufacturing operations. What You'll Do
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Pick, prepare, package, and ship customer and internal orders accurately and on time.
- Load, unload, move, and store materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Label, organize, and track inventory using inventory management systems.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and work with vendors or carriers to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and shipping/receiving documentation.
- Ensure parts and materials are picked and delivered to production in a timely manner.
- Follow safe forklift operating procedures and warehouse safety standards.
- Build shipping crates and prepare products for safe transportation.
- Assist with company vehicle maintenance and general fleet organization.
- Perform seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal, applying ice melt, and lawn care.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Ensure only authorized personnel enter warehouse areas.
- Follow all company health, safety, and security policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or material handling experience.
- Valid forklift certification with at least 3 years of forklift operating experience.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role and lifting materials throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Bondable.
