MSS Security is looking for casual customer-focused security officers to join our team at the National Gallery of Victoria.

About the role: As a customer-focused Security Officer, you will provide a welcoming and approachable presence, ensuring every visitor feels valued and safe. This role combines visible security oversight with exceptional customer service—assisting guests, sharing information, and helping create a positive and memorable experience.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Greet and welcome all visitors to the gallery in a professional and friendly manner

• Patrol areas to maintain a safe, welcoming, and customer-focused environment

• Guide and assist visitors during busy periods while ensuring smooth and safe crowd control

• Oversee visitor adherence to rules for photography, refreshments, and exhibits

• Assist visitors needing additional help, including first-time guests, families, or those traveling, in navigating exhibitions and gallery spaces
   

Skills & Experience:

• Full Australian Working Rights

• Certificate II in security operations (Or higher)

• A valid Victorian Security License (Control Room License preferred but not essential)

• Drivers License

• Valid First Aid and CPR

• Employee Working with Children's Check

• Customer service experience

• 24*7 Availability Required - Including weekends
