Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the proper performance of all tasks that are assigned to them by the Operational ROV Supervisor during the operation, maintenance, repair, and preparations of the ROV;
  • Adhere to the DOF Personal Record of Competence;
  • Ensure that the proper internal and external Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment requirements are implemented during tasks;
  • Familiarization and debriefing sessions prior to mobilization and demobilization (if applicable.);
  • Participate, as required, in projects and complete tasks under separate functional description (developed for the task.);
  • Familiarize and adhere to all guidance and instructions that are outlined in the BMS (Business Management System.);
  • Perform assigned work tasks as directed and in accordance with the established procedures and routines defined in the DOF Subsea Atlantic quality system and relevant project procedures. Pay special attention to the ROV operation and instruction as well as its underlying documents;
  • Be familiar with the ROV system;
  • Operate and maintain the ROV system in accordance with procedures and standards.

Requirements

Key Competencies (knowledge, training/education, behaviours):

  • Previous experience with work class ROV systems;
  • Post-secondary education* with a primary focus in:
    1. ROV (Remote Operated Vehicles)
    2. Electrical
    3. Engineering Technology
    4. Mechanic
    5. Equivalent/related experience or training will be considered
  • Working knowledge of Technical Specifications and Standards within the renewables Industry;
  • Level of technical knowledge in computer and electronic interfacing;
  • Experience with technical testing and troubleshooting;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word/Excel/PowerPoint;
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure;
  • Excellent communicator including language proficiency (reading/writing);
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
