Job description

Support the Lighting Department by coordinating day-to-day production activities for a featurette project. Partner closely with lighting leads and supervisors to manage shot schedules, track deliverables, and ensure lighting milestones align with the overall production plan. Act as a central communication point between lighting artists and upstream and downstream departments to support a smooth pipeline.

  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating lighting schedules, shot lists, and priorities
  • Track lighting progress, versions, and approvals in ShotGrid (or equivalent), ensuring accurate and timely updates
  • Facilitate communication between lighting, animation, FX, DMP, compositing, and rendering teams
  • Organize and attend production and review meetings; capture notes, action items, and follow-ups
  • Identify potential pipeline or schedule issues and proactively flag risks and solutions with leads and production
  • Coordinate resources, render priorities, and delivery deadlines related to lighting tasks
  • Prepare status reports, shot metrics, and updates for supervisors and stakeholders

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Production Coordinator, preferably within animation, VFX, or lighting/rendering departments
  • Proficiency with ShotGrid or similar production tracking tools
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Basic understanding of lighting, rendering, and compositing workflows is a plus

Pay Range: CAD $ 1200 - 1400$ per week
