Job description

Support the Animation Department by coordinating day-to-day production activities for a featurette project. Partner closely with animation leads and supervisors to help manage schedules, track deliverables, and ensure the production stays on target. Act as a central communication hub between artists, supervisors, and cross-departmental teams to maintain clarity and momentum throughout the pipeline.

    • Assist in building, maintaining, and updating animation schedules and shot assignments
    • Track production progress and milestones using ShotGrid (or equivalent), ensuring data accuracy and timely updates
    • Facilitate communication between animation, editorial, and other departments to support efficient workflows
    • Organize and attend production meetings; capture notes, action items, and follow-ups
    • Identify potential schedule or pipeline issues and proactively flag solutions with the team
    • Coordinate resources, reviews, and deliveries specific to animation production needs
    • Prepare production reports, status updates, and materials for supervisors and stakeholders

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Production Coordinator, preferably within animation, VFX, or short-form/featurette content
  • Proficiency with ShotGrid/Flow or similar production tracking tools
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Familiarity with the animation production pipeline (layout, animation, lighting, etc.) is a plus

Pay Range: CAD $ 1200 - 1400$ per week
