You listen and deliver what is most helpful for the customer. You assist fellow sales Googlers by problem-solving key technical issues for our customers. You liaise with the product marketing management and developing teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

In this role, you will partner with technical Sales teams as a data management subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs-of-concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks related to database and application migrations and data back ends for new application development. You will use your expertise and presentation skills to engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and persuasively present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. You will have excellent technical, communication and organizational skills.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Canada: $194000 - $198000 (CAD) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

  • Build partner specific, go-to-market solutions to reduce business cycles and drive partner business as measured through pipeline and business growth.
  • Own the technical relationship with partners, empowering them to drive a successful pilot or proof-of-concept, support partners drive toward customer acceptance of the technical proposal, leading to an agreement, and work with partners during the migration phase to assure they have all the tools necessary to deliver a successful deployment.
  • Build trusted advisory relationships and make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution providing best practice advice to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture (e.g., database administration and solutions) in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience architecting solutions for data transformation, migration, governance strategies, high availability, or disaster recovery.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with data migration strategies and moving production systems in on-premise/data center environments or migration to cloud scenarios and SQL skills with deep query troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Experience in disaster recovery (DR) and data backup strategies.
  • Experience in understanding a customer’s existing software workloads and the ability to define a technical migration roadmap to the Cloud reflecting specific customer needs.
  • Experience in optimizing database performance with transactional or investigative workloads.
