CEDA is looking for  Journeyman Pipefitters for a short term job with a local client. Candidates must be local to Bonnyville.

This position is open to direct service providers (DSP)

What we offer:

    Key Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Install new mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, air dryers, converters, heat exchangers, relief valves, pressure-reducing valves, condensate tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, pneumatic controls, coils, isolation valves, 3-way valves, condensate traps)
    • Fit up and prepare piping requiring welded joints
    • Liaise and collaborate with other trades, consultants and suppliers
    • Cleans condensate traps and equipment strainers
    • Provides occasional guidance to the primary function of others, including training.
    • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
    • Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
    • Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
    • Thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
    • Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
    • Test system for leaks using testing equipment
    • Other duties as assigned

    Role Specifications:

    • Journeyman Pipefitter/Steamfitter (Red Seal preferred) required
    • H2S Alive and CSO or CSTS, First Aid required - Confined Space, Fall Arrest (AWP) considered an asset.
    • Receptive to change and can adapt to changing circumstances
    • Able to provide a negative pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDA
    • Class 5 (NON GDL) Drivers license with a clean 5 year drivers abstract
