Job description

Technical Skills

  • Collaborate proactively with product managers, analysts and business representatives to translate business and integration requirements into scalable designs and solutions.
  • Design, develop and test technical solutions based on pre-defined requirements.  Development responsibilities include Data Models, MDM, Dashboards, RPD, Reports, ETL jobs, Server setup and proof of concepts (POC) on technology platforms other than OBIEE.
  • Enhance performance in the BI environment. Tuning code, reviewing tables and applying indexes where needed.
  • Continuously improve documentation, version control, testing, and migration standards.
  • Strong understanding of the lifecycle of technical development from technical design, unit testing to user testing, to production migration. Emphasize adherence to standards and controls, and conduct quality assurance over programs before migration to production
  • Contribute to a cooperative environment that fosters knowledge sharing
  • Ability to lead and provide technical guidance to global delivery team members.
  • Ability to work independently and create working prototypes
  • Familiar with agile development methodologies
  • Flexible to work with a team and clients that span multiple countries and time zones.
  • Experience with managing multiple pre-production environments including server maintenance, OBIEE architecture, network infrastructure and mobile (tablet) computing platforms.

Project Tasks & Deliverables

  • Acts as single point of contact for technical related matters for the Design, Build and Deploy phases where required.
  • Co-ordinates technical sub teams; Offshore and, Architecture, Network and Service groups to ensures all planned activities are completed to time and quality
  • Assists in the planning of design, build, migration and deployment activities and works with PM to ensure progress are tracked and updated regularly
  • Ensures all changes requests or requirements are technical assessed, dependencies, impacts, risks and issues are identified and fully documented
  • Ensures all deliverable produced conform to company technical standards and polices
  • Ensures all documentation produced conform to programme standards.
  • Identifies and reports risks and issues to PM and assists in the mitigation and resolution of such risks and issues
  • Ensures requirements are fully traceable from Design -> Build
  • Ensures a configuration baseline is established and documented between each release
  • Ensure deployment activities are transitioned to Service Team, supported by the appropriate approved documentation, prior to production release.
  • Attends Project Delivery Team meetings 

Job Requirements: 

  • 5 years of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and/or Siebel Analytics development experience
  • 5 years of Informatica development experience
  • Previous experience with implementing Oracle/Siebel CRM solutions: (Sales Force Automation, Call Center, Marketing)
  • Strong knowledge of the Oracle databases, SQL and PL/SQL
  • Strong knowledge of OBIEE server infrastructure and network architecture.
  • Provide quality assurance checkpoints related to BI development
  • Previous experience in the Pharma industry a plus.
  • Previous experience working with a global delivery model a plus.
