Job description

Our customer: NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) creates solutions that enable secure connections for a smarter world. Building on its expertise in High Performance Mixed Signal electronics,

NXP is driving innovation in the automotive, identification and mobile industries, and in application areas including wireless infrastructure, lighting, healthcare, industrial, consumer tech and computing. NXP has operations in more than 25 countries. Additional information can be found by visiting www.nxp.com

Your working-area: At NXP’s automotive In-Vehicle networking design department, products are developed “to connect the car”, see http://www.nxp.com/applications/automotive/ . Part of our portfolio exists out of transceivers for physical layers like LIN-, CAN-, Flexray and Ethernet. These transceivers can also be part of System basis Chips, where several functions are integrated on one chip, offering our automotive customers complete system solutions. Mentioned SBC’s contain a variety of mixed signal circuits like multiple voltage regulators, SMPS, watchdog, power supply monitoring circuits, power management etc. These modules and products are developed in high voltage Bipolar/CMOS/DMOS -SOI processes and should meet very tough automotive requirements : very low -power design, EMC, and lifetime profiles at extreme temperatures.

Your responsibilities: You are an experienced mixed signal designer, working in a cross-functional project team. You know to find the right balance between time, cost and quality and ensure optimal reuse. EMC requirements for automotive products are increasingly difficult to meet. One of your main tasks is to help the team forward with your expertise knowledge on EMC. Predictability of EMC behaviour is key. You know how to model substrate coupling, capacitive and inductive coupling. You advise design teams on EMC robust biasing and supply architectures. You are able to identify EMC aggressors and victims, clearly explaining the interaction and in case of violating requirements propose solutions to overcome these violations. Again, emphasis on predictability, thus pre-silicon!

  • Knowledge on automotive EMC is a MUST HAVE experience: >5 years
