Location: Mississauga, ON (onsite)
Salary Range: $42.21 - $45.16 per hour
Vacancy Type: New position
 

As our next Machine Builder, you’ll be at the forefront of building, assembling, and commissioning custom automation equipment. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials

  • Assemble and fit complex parts and sub‑assemblies for custom automation equipment

  • Integrate pneumatic and hydraulic systems into machinery

  • Fabricate and machine basic components as required

  • Conduct testing and perform adjustments to ensure equipment meets specifications

  • Support machine debug, integration, and commissioning activities

  • Coordinate with electricians and PLC programmers during machine builds

  • Train customers, maintenance, and operators on equipment and safety procedures

  • Verify part conformance using precision measuring instruments

  • Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements for manufacturability

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain organized work areas

What We’re Looking For:

  • Diploma or equivalent technical training or relevant experience

  • 5+ years of experience in automation, machine building, or millwright work

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly and blueprint reading

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Ability to use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Machining experience

  • Experience with rigging and lifting techniques

  • Exposure to full machine build and commissioning environments

  • Familiarity with MS Office tools
