As a member of the Operations team, the IT System Administrator will be a hands-on contributor to implementation, maintenance and support of Accedian’s network and applications both locally at the corporate head-office as well as supporting the international sales force across Europe, APAC and Latin-America. In this role, you will work in partnership with other members of the IT team, as well as with Operations, Finance, Human Resources, R&D and Sales in supporting the use and ongoing management of the network; more specifically Microsoft Servers, SAN, SQL Databases, network elements and desktop applications.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain current technology used for production. In no particular order : Microsoft, RedHat, Citrix, NetAPP, HP Networking, Canonical and much more.
  • Create and document IT processes and other workflows.
  • Work with the IT team to help coordinate and implement projects such as network upgrades, SAN, software and server deployment and configuration. A focus on Infrastructure as Code and performance is common practice at Accedian.
  • Work with the IT helpdesk; ticket requests, compile reports and statistics.
  • Support local and international employees using available tools and applications

The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate flexibility, the ability to work in a dynamic organization that is in rapid expansion and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.

  • A good understanding of network topology and complex systems, coupled with 2-5 years of IT experience
  • You are comfortable in an environment with changing priorities
  • capable of rapid adaptation to new techniques / processes and technology 
  • very customer service oriented.
  • Bilingual in both English and French. 
  • Past experience with Virtualization is an asset.
