Your Role: At the Heart of the Chain

Responsibilities:

  • Support and participate in the implementation of the strategic health and safety action plan and risk management processes related to the company's activities and operations;
  • Support all stations in their daily management of health and safety;
  • Develop, administer and continuously improve health and safety prevention programs in order to support the company's orientations and reduce risks;
  • Participates in the development, implementation and dissemination of health and safety training activities for managers and employees;
  • Accompanies the managers of the different provinces and departments during the investigation and analysis of accidents and follows up on the corrective measures to be put in place;
  • Build and update internal health and safety audits on all operations in Canada;
  • Collaborates in the definition of performance indicators related to health and safety and in the development of a dashboard;
  • Update and analyze performance indicators for operations and the service center;
  • Conduct safety compliance audits to ensure standards are met, communicate safety performance indicators to managers;
  • Manage the training of first aid employees and ensure that standards are maintained;
  • Manage the training of OHS committee members and ensure that quorum standards are maintained;
  • Follow up on the Occupational Health and Safety Committees;
  • Conduct accident analysis and propose corrective actions;
  • Maintain health and safety programs by ensuring that manuals, guides, presentations and other tools are maintained;
  • Supervise the administrative follow-up of occupational injury files with the various federal and provincial authorities governing health and safety.
  • Other related tasks to support the Human Resources Director in her various mandates.

Qualifications

  • Completed university studies in human resources, industrial relations, occupational health and safety or in a discipline deemed relevant;
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in occupational health and safety;
  • Health and Safety profressional accreditations such as CRSP are an asset
  • Knowledge of the laws of the various provinces and the Canada Labour Code;
  • Have a good understanding of occupational injury management;
  • Demonstrate autonomy, initiative and a strong sense of organization in his work;
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and solve problems, take initiative and follow up on projects;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good command of common computer tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.) and knowledge of management systems an asset.
  • Valid driver's licence and car are mandatory
