Apply to this jobOur Halifax office is currently seeking an enthusiastic experienced Journeyman Electrician/Foreperson to join our Commercial Division in the Yarmouth and surrounding area (within one hour). The successful individual will be a key role in assisting B&M in expanding on the regional service offering that we currently provide to existing clients.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Support & assist with cost/job estimates and PM contract proposal submissions
- Reading and interpreting drawings and contract specifications
- Requisition materials and supplies as required
- Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity
- Ensure safe working conditions are enforced and strictly adhered to in accordance with company policy
- Provide status reports
- Prepare all necessary paperwork, i.e. timesheets, service reports, etc. and ensure timely submission for billing purposes

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Red Seal Electrician
- Strong skills in negotiation and problem solving with the ability to motivate and lead by example.
- Business Development experience would be an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work alone and with others.
