We are seeking a Director, Sales & Marketing with strong transportation industry experience and a proven ability to hunt and win new business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue, leading sales strategy, and overseeing the marketing function to elevate our brand and market position.


Pay: CA$120,000.00 - CA$150,000.00 per year

Position Summary

The Director, Sales & Marketing leads all revenue‑generating initiatives across Joseph Transportation Group. This role oversees both the sales and marketing functions, ensuring strategic alignment, market visibility, customer growth, and team performance. The ideal candidate brings deep transportation knowledge and a passion for building strong, profitable customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Lead, coach, and support a high‑performing sales team with clear KPIs.
  • Drive new business development with a strong hunter mindset.
  • Manage key accounts and oversee client retention initiatives.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Management

  • Oversee all marketing initiatives, including digital, print, events, and communications.
  • Strengthen brand positioning and ensure consistency across all platforms.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive insights, and customer data to support decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing with operational and service capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with operations, finance, and executive leadership to align strategy and execution.
  • Provide market intelligence to support new services, pricing models, and product development.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track sales performance, pipeline health, and marketing ROI.
  • Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and insights for leadership.
  • Ensure effective use of CRM and marketing tools to drive accountability and visibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA an asset).
  • 10+ years of sales and/or marketing leadership experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Proven success in new business development and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience leading teams and working with CRM and marketing platforms.

Work Conditions

  • Office-based role with onsite visits to fleet and terminal locations when needed.
