This dynamic position involves a mix of general labour and construction work, both in-field and at remote sites. If you're ready to learn new skills and contribute to a variety of tasks, this opportunity is perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general construction duties on-site/in-field
• Ensure onsite safety by reporting hazards and maintaining site organization
• Assist with cable laying and field reports as needed
• Perform general clean-up and organization in the warehouse
• Assemble and build parts, as well as handle shipping and receiving tasks
• Conduct daily equipment inspections, reporting any repair issues or hazards immediately
• Secure special attachments to equipment and assist with general labour duties
• Transport materials to and from job sites, ensuring the safety and security of the load

Opportunities for Growth:

• Learn fibre splicing and cable laying in marine environments
• Provide procurement support, including driving to various locations to pick up supplies/materials

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1+ years of experience in construction (required)
• 1+ years of experience in telecom construction, machine operation, and utility locates (preferred)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, yet also be a team player with a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Motivated self-starter with a willingness to learn new skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to various weather conditions

Required Equipment:

• Steel-toed boots
• High-visibility safety vest
• Hard hat
• Basic hand tools (e.g. screwdrivers, pliers, side cutters, level, tape measure, hammer, wrench, channel locks, etc.)
• Vehicle for commuting to and from local job sites
