Job description

As Category Manager, you will be responsible for driving category performance, delivering customer-focused ranges, and creating compelling promotional strategies that set Petstock apart.

How You will Make an Impact

  • Develop and execute annual category strategies aligned to business goals

  • Negotiate innovative and commercially compelling promotions with suppliers

  • Lead range reviews and pricing strategies in line with the review calendar

  • Source and select products aligned to company vision and merchandising plans

  • Build strong supplier partnerships to achieve mutual growth outcomes

  • Deliver the Category Business Plan to meet budgeted KPIs

  • Oversee product setup and ongoing maintenance in systems

  • Coordinate category communications across stores and operational teams

About You

You are a confident and commercially minded Category Manager who brings both strategic thinking and execution excellence.

What Skills you will bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in a Category Manager or Buyer role

  • Strong understanding of retail metrics and commercial drivers

  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiation and relationship management

  • Experience across category management, product development or importing

  • Ability to influence and engage multiple stakeholders

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)

  • A collaborative approach with strong relationship-building skills

  • A genuine passion for pets and the pet industry
