We are seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Manager to support construction execution and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with all standards.  The candidate can be located anywhere in Canada.  The work will be done at the client' site.

Job Details:

  • Support Construction Manager in overseeing pipeline / industrial construction projects
  • Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and quality plans
  • Enforce stop work authority and promote a strong safety culture
  • Oversee inspectors to ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, codes, and standards
  • Review contractor safe work practices, hazard assessments, and daily reporting
  • Monitor construction progress and drive corrective actions where required
  • Assist with NCRs, non-conformance tracking, and issue resolution
  • Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment
  • Support documentation, record management, and project close-out requirements
  • Conduct site walkdowns and ensure quality and compliance on-site
  • Provide leadership and guidance to inspection staff

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 8+ years of experience in pipeline, oil & gas, or industrial construction (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and industry standards
  • Technical diploma, trade certification, or engineering background considered an asset

Additional Details:

  • Rotation: 17 days on / 4 days off
  • Strong focus on safety, collaboration, and accountability
  • Must be an Independent Contractor
