Course Description:

In this course, we outline the unique characteristics of complex projects and programmes and their initiation and planning. Students will learn tools to characterize the complexity of projects and programmes. Advanced methodologies for strategic analysis and stakeholder engagement for complex projects and programs will be presented. Approaches to develop adaptive and agile project plans for benefits realization will be shared, along with the enabling organizational governance models, and the capabilities required to lead teams of teams.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business or engineering required, Master's in management or engineering preferred, PhD an asset, solid industry track record in professional and managerial role(s) related to the management of complex projects as well as technology project initiation, development and management required.  Experience as CTO and/or CIO or higher-ranking role in engineering management in a technical/technological firm is strongly preferred

Experience in post-secondary teaching and/or professional development instruction preferred.
