Shipping and Receiving Data Clerk

Position Summary: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments. This role involves preparing shipping documentation, packaging products, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare shipping documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels.
• Package products for shipment according to specified procedures.
• Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Verify shipping addresses and contact information.
• Maintain shipping records and documentation.
• Assist with inventory control and cycle counts.
• Adhere to shipping and receiving procedures and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping or warehouse operations preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in shipping software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with shipping software and transportation management systems.
• Forklift operator certification.
