The successful candidate will act as the technology lead across Business, Risk, Operations, Finance, and Infrastructure stakeholders, driving solution design, execution, governance, vendor management, and production readiness for a multi-year strategic program. The position requires deep experience in capital markets technology, derivatives processing, Murex, XVA, and large-scale transformation delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define scalable, maintainable solutions that align business requirements with Murex capabilities, enterprise architecture standards, and the broader technology landscape.
  • Partner closely with New York and London Murex, infrastructure, and application teams, as well as traders, quantitative analysts, operations, risk, and finance stakeholders.
  • Facilitate requirements, design, and solution-validation workshops; translate complex business processes into clear functional specifications, configurations, interfaces, and delivery plans.
  • Drive cross-functional execution, manage dependencies and risks, and provide transparent status reporting in partnership with subject-matter experts and the program management office.
  • Establish the target support and operating model for the European entity and retain functional ownership of the solution following implementation.
  • Lead analysis and delivery of new Murex functionality, product enablement, platform enhancements, and business-as-usual change initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce functional and technical debt, improve controls and resilience, and influence the evolution of Murex and connected applications.
  • Support end-to-end testing, migration, go-live, and stabilization activities, ensuring business readiness and effective issue resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in capital markets or financial services, with deep knowledge of fixed income and derivatives products.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience delivering Murex implementations, upgrades, extensions, or major platform enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of Fixed Income and OTC derivatives processing.
  • Experience delivering XVA, risk, or valuation platform initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success leading global technology teams and strategic transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit complex business requirements and translate them into practical Murex functional designs and technical requirements.
  • Strong delivery management skills, including dependency management, risk identification, prioritization, testing coordination, and executive-level status communication.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with traders, quantitative analysts, senior business leaders, and technical teams.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, manage competing priorities, and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced trading environment.
  • Strong ownership mindset and a demonstrated record of delivering resilient, scalable solutions from concept through production support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Murex across multiple legal entities, regions, or booking models.
  • Experience with European market, regulatory, or operational requirements.
  • Knowledge of Murex integration patterns, data flows, migration strategies, and nonfunctional considerations such as scalability, supportability, and resilience.
