IT Administrator - Twinkl

Location: Sheffield, UK - Fully office based

Annual Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term

Are you organised, detail oriented, and ready to support the smooth day-to-day operations of an IT team? Twinkl HQ is looking for an IT Administrator to own essential IT administration, including asset records, purchasing processes, and general support duties. You don't need to know everything about IT. We're looking for someone organised, curious and keen to learn. You will be a central figure within our IT team, and play a vital role in ensuring our IT systems remain accurate, updated, and ready for our team to rely on.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Administration: Manage routine IT administration tasks, accurately and on time.
  • Asset Management: Maintain precise asset records, including logging new devices, recording returns, and updating ownership status for starters, movers, and leavers.
  • Purchasing: Oversee IT purchasing processes, ensuring our purchase processes are followed with an extreme level of accuracy.
  • Service Support: Act as a helpful point of contact for users, answering inquiries, working with the IT team to define the right equipment solutions. Giving timely updates.
  • Operational Integrity: Provide reliable data for IT planning and keep our infrastructure and inventory records audit-ready.

What You'll Bring

  • Attention to Detail: You take pride in maintaining accurate records and consistently check your work for errors.
  • Process Driven: You are comfortable following established procedures and know when to flag missing approvals or unusual requests to the IT team.
  • Technical Competency: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Email) and experience with or an ability to learn service desk and asset management tools.
  • Communication: You communicate clearly and respectfully, whether you are updating service tickets or discussing technical information with colleagues.
  • Proactive Approach: You are a self-starter who manages your own workload effectively and is always looking for ways to improve our admin processes.

How We’ll Look After You

  • Enjoy 33 days of paid time off per year (pro-rata), plus watch your holiday bank grow the longer you stay with us.
  • The Ultimate "Me" Day. An extra, fully paid day off dedicated entirely to you. Sleep in, binge a show, or hit the spa. No justification needed, just pure self-care.
  • Want to change the world? We’ll foot the bill. Take a fully paid day every year to champion a cause close to your heart.
  • Keep your money in your pocket as we give you access to a Westfield Health cash plan. Claim back cash on everyday healthcare like dentist visits, eye care, and physio.
  • Big life moments deserve big support. We’ve got you covered with enhanced pay for maternity, paternity, and adoption leave.
  • We’re investing in your tomorrow. Secure your future with our boosted pension contributions and total peace of mind through generous life insurance.
  • Unleash a world of learning and fun! Get full, complimentary access to Twinkl for you and your family.
